Congregations of Shaare Shamayim, 9768 Verree Road, will host a Chai Light Brunch in tribute to executive director Jacques Lurie on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m.
Lurie has worked for Shaare Shamayim for 18 years.

The guest speaker will be Marina Furman, a refusenik/activist and friend of Lurie who is executive director for national donor advancement for the Jewish National Fund.
